ID.ME Account Needed to Access Some IRS Applications
Effective May 17, 2023, the IRS will require an ID.Me account to access e-Services, Tax Pro Connect and other online applications because Secure Access is being decommissioned. This means anyone who is signing in with an existing IRS username, instead of an ID.Me account, will no longer be able to do so. This includes obtaining your IP PIN or an IRS Transcript amongst other important tax items.
